Ms Rosemary Namubiru, the nurse found guilty of professional negligence at Buganda Road court earlier this morning, has been sentenced to three years in prison.
She is accused of pricking a baby with a cannula that had pricked her hand, well knowing that she was HIV positive.

“The accused person was aware that she was living with the virus and then she carelessly went a head to inject the child,” Mukwaya said in a fully packed court.

Court passed its judgment basing on the testimonies of prosecution witnesses 1, 2, 3, 7 and 9. The witnesses pinned Namubiru, saying she was aware of her status that is why she was not remorseful during trial.

Some people have come out to say it's not punishment enough that she deserves to face the death penalty while others think it's what she deserves.

These are some of the comments from facebook:

Jerkyll Hyde Slivers She has a life to live, family to take care of and her expert services to offer. Things happen, people should learn to forget the past and focus on the future. Its a matter of adopting to the situation the boy is in.

Omoding Francis Killing(hanging) her won't make the child negative again,i thought u nigaz are christians but it seems yo just christians by religion title but not by ways, the bible says forgive each other (If the bible is also true),revenge won't do any gud, only forgiveness brings joy. As many always give the excuse,"everything happens with a reason "or "it was God's plan" . Sorry & sincere sympathies to the affected child and the family members. May God forgive Rosemary before she dies !
