The Police in Kampala have launched a manhunt for an unidentified assailant who killed the manager of Chillies Fast Foods and Takeaway Restaurant in Ntinda, a Kampala suburb.

According to Luke Owoyesigyire the Kampala Metropolitan Deputy spokesperson, the deceased is Isaac Mugga, who was attacked while balancing books inside the restaurant.

Employees claim to have left Mugga alone balancing books on Tuesday night before closing for the day, but were shocked to find the restaurant wide open with his lifeless body lying in his office the next morning.

CCTV footage from the next building shows a man with a covered face jumping off the motorcycle and entering the restaurant.

The deceased is said to have put up a spirited fight before the assailant stabbed him to death, detectives from Kira-Road police who retrieved the footage on Wednesday evening say.

The retrieved footage from the restaurant and Fraine supermarket, shows the suspect coming in and leaving the premises around 11:00 pm.

The killer knife has been recovered along with other exhibits that will help investigations as the hunt for this killer continues.

According to one Rafael Otto a guard from Pentagon Security Company guarding a Forex Bureaux which is adjacent to the restaurant, his colleagues who was on duty that fateful night told him that the suspect disguised himself as one of the employees or deceased’s friends who had returned to the restaurant.

The assailant made away with money, vital documents and disconnected all the computers.
