Nicholas Tugume, popularly known by his stage name "Ankore Boy," is a musician hailing from Rukungiri in Western Uganda. His musical adventure began in 2020, during the COVID-19 lockdown, as a hobby and a  way to stay productive and happy. Though always a music fan, Ankore Boy found his love for creating tunes during those challenging times.  Inspired by local rapper RasM, Ankore Boy collaborated on his first song, "Neiwe Wenka" (It's Only You), a sweet love track. The song caught on, putting Ankore Boy on the Western Ugandan music map. His next hit, "Okantera," with Meek D, became a radio favorite and a regional success.  Ankore Boy's playlist grew with songs like "Omutima," "Singing for My Bae," "I Love You," "Nakweeta," "Nkwatako," and "Ori Kabaka." 

Each track tells a story, blending his experiences with the vibrant culture of Western Uganda.  Ankore Boy's music is more than beats and lyrics; it's a journey from lockdown blues to musical highs. Through simple melodies and relatable tales, Ankore Boy invites everyone to share in the joy, hardships, and dreams that shape his musical world. As he continues his adventure, Ankore Boy's story echoes beyond Rukungiri, proving that even during tough times, music has the power to inspire and uplift.
