Kalumba Ashiraf Abubakari Mudathiru, better known as Off Ryine, is a highly acclaimed Ugandan musician and a revered songwriter. He skillfully blends Luganda and English in his music, creating a unique and captivating sound. Off Ryine's musical expertise lies in Afrobeat and RnB, genres that have inspired countless artists and touched the hearts of many.

Off Ryine was born on July 14, 1998, to Mukasa Abubakari and Kabitto Mariam. He grew up in Kiyindi, Buikwe District, and later moved to Kampala, Uganda. As the oldest among his siblings, Off Ryine has made significant contributions to the field of songwriting and has created popular hits for renowned Ugandan artists.

Off Ryine embarked on his educational journey at Naguru Katale Primary School. Upon completing his primary education, he gained admission to Allied Teachers secondary school, Nyenga, where he pursued his ordinary and advanced level studies. With unwavering dedication and commitment to his academics, Off Ryine successfully graduated from YMCA Comprehensive Institute, located in Wandegeya, a neighborhood within the city of Kampala, Uganda's capital and largest metropolitan area. 

Off Ryine presents his lyrics in both Luganda and English, delivering his music in the popular afrobeat style. Afrobeat, also known as Kidandali in Luganda, is a genre that originated in Uganda's central region. Since the late 2000s, Kidandali has served as a catalyst for a new generation of Ugandan musicians, empowering them to create urban popular music in their mother tongue.

Off Ryine embarked on his musical journey during his elementary and secondary school years, where he took on the role of leading the school choir. He officially started his professional music career as a teenager in 2022 with the release of his debut track titled "Potential."

"Potential" is an English phrase that can be translated to "Obusobozi" in Luganda/Ganda. This enchanting love anthem was expertly produced by Shaq on the Beat.
